Pets at Home, the leading pet supplies chain in the UK, has taken a significant step in its evolution by introducing two small-scale stores in the London area. This move marks the company’s shift away from large-scale retail spaces and towards a more localized presence. As Pets at Home continues to expand its influence on London’s commercial streets, these new stores will offer a diverse range of essential pet owner products while also providing invaluable advisory services for customers.
Spanning approximately 5000 square feet, these compact stores represent a departure from the traditional larger footprint associated with Pets at Home outlets. Notably, they do not offer the typical veterinary and grooming services found in the standard stores. Rachel Etherington, manager of the Sutton area small store, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating, “Our convenient location enables pet owners to easily access vital pet care products and seek professional guidance from our dedicated pet experts.”
We are thrilled to integrate ourselves into the local Sutton community and eagerly anticipate welcoming customers and their beloved pets through our doors.”
In March of this year, Pets at Home reported that fourth-quarter trading was “broadly in line with expectations” and is anticipated to meet the projected profit guidance of £132 million for the year. Currently, Pets at Home operates 457 Pets at Home stores, encompassing 339 pet grooming salons and 444 pet clinics.
